Taylor and Sam tied the knot at SoHo63, in Chandler, Arizona for their January wedding day. After initially meeting at a friend’s Christmas party, Taylor and Sam hit it off, and their story eventually culminated in a Disneyland proposal, which was perfect for a girl after Mickey’s heart. You can read more about how they met on their Tom’s Thumb Engagement Session blog post. Taylor and Sam’s wedding was a beautiful start to the new year, and was also our last wedding before maternity leave as we await the arrival of our daughter! I’m so happy we got to spend our last wedding (for a bit) with these two, because they are two of the sweetest people we’ve had the privilege to work with. 🙂
The day started as we photographed the finishing touches of the Bride and Groom each getting ready. There was a hint of magic in the air, and I’m fully convinced it was coming from Taylor’s gorgeous princess-style Pronovias gown from Grace Style and Bridal. It was a show stopper, and she looked absolutely stunning in it. Before long we were heading for the couple’s first look… and I couldn’t wait to see Sam’s reaction to Taylor’s bridal look. From the Bride, “When Samuel and I were dating he’d do anything to help make me happy. He has such a kind heart… I knew very early on I wanted to keep him forever. He was my real life Prince Charming that I always watched on my tv as a kid!” Taylor was ready to see her Prince Charming, and this was the moment Sam would get to see his real life Princess, too.
Sam was thrilled to see Taylor for the first time! Both of their smiles and laughter erupted as they appreciated the moment and expressed their excitement to get married. It was perfect! Soon after, we photographed the Bridal party with the Bride & Groom before heading back to the venue where Sam and Taylor would officially become husband and wife. Their wedding Ceremony was so sweet, complete with a time of communion for the soon-to-be husband and wife, and ended with flower petals showered in celebration on the newlyweds.
Of course, these two Disney fanatics had some Disney touches throughout their day, so make sure you take some time to appreciate their “Up” inspired cake topper, and Disneyland ride-themed centerpieces. The reception was adorned with beautiful floral and filled with celebration the rest of the night. Before we headed out, we made sure to snag one last photo of the newlyweds with their Bride & Groom Mickey ears. It was the perfect way to end a special day!
Taylor & Sam: Ahhh! We are so incredibly happy for you guys. We’re also incredibly jealous that you jetted off to Disney after your wedding day- LOL! But, we hope you guys had the best time ever on your first official trip to Disneyland as HUSBAND & WIFE! We are seriously wishing you guys a happily ever after, as the closest thing to a Princess and Prince Charming we’ve ever met. 😉 Congrats!!
