Tucson AZ Desert Church Wedding | Emily & Karl
Emily and Karl got married in Tucson, Arizona at Immanuel Presbyterian Church. These two met at a Tycho concert, which really just proves how cool they are! Haha! Before they knew it, they were in love and engaged. Recalling how Emily knew Karl was the one, she said “It was love at first sight! No one has ever been more perfect for me and we knew that before a year of dating.” Emily and Karl are such a sweet couple. Throughout their wedding day, they remained calm and full of excitement, just so relaxed and ready for what was to come. To me, the sweetest part was how their wedding day was so centered on their marriage to come, not just the wedding day itself. This was obvious in every interaction I had with them, and during their engagement session at Mount Lemmon in Tucson, it was easy to see why these two have fallen for one another. They fit together so perfectly. 🙂
When the couple arrived to the church, their was a buzz of excitement in the air. Emily got ready for the day with her two bridesmaids while Karl got ready with his groomsmen. We photographed their details and finishing touches of getting ready while anticipation grew. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; one of my favorite things is when a bride is willing to finish getting ready outside, in beautiful light. I loved capturing Emily’s bridesmaids help her with her dress, veil, and jewelry in the gorgeous Arizona light.
After the bride and groom were ready for the day, we took bridesmaid and groomsmen photos separately, as Emily and Karl decided to wait to see each other for the first time at their ceremony. After their Jesus-centered ceremony and bridal party photos (such a fun group), we headed into the nearby desert garden for bride and groom photos. Everyone knows I love bride and groom photos in the desert and this was certainly no exception. Emily’s cathedral length veil was absolutely stunning in photos. I loved photographing the couple in the beautiful desert environment on such a gorgeous November day. After photo time was finished, Emily and Karl danced and celebrated with friends and family before sending off at the end of the night in sparkler style.
Emily & Karl: I mean it when I say that you two might be the sweetest people we’ve ever met. Like honestly, John and I felt so appreciated and happy to be a part of your wedding day. I truly wish you guys many years of God-honoring marriage. P.S. I want to steal your dog. 😉
