Mesa AZ Backyard Wedding | Kara & Isaac

Kara and Isaac got married in Mesa, Arizona at a family member’s residence. I mean it when I say, this was a backyard wedding done in style. When I asked Kara what she envisioned for her wedding day, she said she wanted it to be casual and laid back, stress free and God glorifying. I feel like that description was not only perfectly true for their wedding day, but truly captures the essence of Kara & Isaac when they are together. They are incredibly laid back and always giggling. Throughout working with them, it was evident that not only do they love each other, but they love God first. It was inspiring to see how they strive to honor God in their relationship, and now in their marriage.

The day started with Kara and her bridesmaids getting ready together. Kara seemed calm, yet full of excitement. She took a moment to pull me aside and let me in on a surprise. Kara and Isaac shared their first date at In-N-Out, which has since become one of their favorite places. In honor of where their relationship first began, Kara had the phrase “Wanna Go to In-N-Out?” embroidered on the inside of her wedding dress as a surprise for Isaac. It was absolutely adorable! While the girls got ready, Isaac did the same with his groomsmen. Once the bride and groom were ready, they exchanged letters they had written to one another, which made for such a sweet moment to photograph. Kara was full of laughter and tears, and only moments later we would have the first look.

John waited with Isaac as I brought Kara from around the corner to see her groom for the first time. When Isaac turned around, his smile was huge and he immediately pulled her in for a kiss. We took the time to photograph the two together before Kara would reveal her surprise to Isaac. He loved the embroidery on her dress and actually shared that they would be visiting In-N-Out after the reception later that night! How funny are they!? 🙂 We finished bride and groom photos by wondering around the property and then jumped into bridal party photos. I loved the fun print of the bridesmaids dresses and the adorable flower girls! The ring bearers were also adorable though, dressed in suspenders and bow-ties just to make everyone go “awww.” LOL!

After family photos it was time for the ceremony to begin. The sun began to set, creating beautiful light in the surrounding scenery. Once the couple said “I Do” they celebrated at the end of the aisle with a kiss. We made sure to get some photos of the couple at their sweetheart table before the festivities began. Make sure you look out for their favors- loose leaf tea with the phrase “love is brewing,” how adorable is that?! Soon, there was dancing and celebration.. the night was full of it! Kara & Isaac ended the night in style, exiting with sparklers and a kiss, surrounded by friends and family.

Kara & Isaac: Thank you for letting us document your wedding day. We loved being a part of a celebration so centered on God, and we loved seeing how happy you make one another. We can’t wait to see you again for your anniversary session! 🙂
